Multi-Timeframe Candles
How daily candles combine into weekly ones, why the bigger time frame carries more weight, and a simple top-down routine for reading any chart.
One market, many time frames
Every candle covers a period of time. On a daily chart, each candle is one trading day. On a weekly chart, each candle is a full week. Intraday charts can show one-minute, five-minute or hourly candles. They all describe the same trades; they just zoom in or out.
Zooming changes what you see. A stock that looks like it is crashing on a five-minute chart may be having a normal pullback on the daily chart and be in a strong uptrend on the weekly chart.
