A setup is a specific, repeatable pattern you trade. Here is how to define one or two setups so clearly that you could hand the checklist to someone else.

One to three setups

Traders who try to trade every pattern end up mastering none. Most successful plans focus on one to three setups, each defined tightly enough that you can say yes or no to any chart in a few seconds. Fewer setups also mean cleaner data when you review your results.
